PURPOSE: A heavy duty tire is provided to improve the durability of a carcass and a belt through reducing the bending deformation generated in an end groove while excessive lateral drag. CONSTITUTION: A heavy duty tire comprises a tread(1), a carcass(2), a belted layer(3), a bead(4), and a reinforcing belt(5). The tread is earthed with the ground. The carcass is proceeded the skeleton role of tire. The belted layer is located between a tread and the carcass. The bead attaches a tire to the rim of a vehicle. The ends of the first belt(3a) and fourth belt(3d) of the belt layer are formed to be smaller than the endmost groove(1a) of the tread. The reinforcing belt is formed to expand from the ends of the first belt and fourth belt to the ends of a second and third belts(3b, 3c). The reinforcing belts are arranged with 5mm clearance.
