<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide portable electronic equipment capable of properly detecting an input operation while reducing power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: The portable electronic equipment includes: a body; a display unit which is exposedly disposed on the surface of the body; a displacement detection unit which has a contact surface exposed on the surface of the body, obtains reflection light of measuring light applied to the contact surface to obtain an image of the contact surface, and detects displacement of an object being in contact with the contact surface from the obtained image; a movement detection unit which detects movement of the object from the displacement detected by the displacement detection unit; a signal generation unit which generates an operation signal based on a detection result of movement detection; a detection condition setting unit which sets conditions for detection of the displacement of the object by the displacement detection unit; and a control unit which performs processing on various functions and controls operation for performance based on the operation signal input by the signal generation unit, and the displacement detection unit detects the displacement of the object being in contact with the contact surface, under the conditions set by the detection condition setting unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
