<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light scattering film and a light scattering polarizing plate having heat resistance and also sufficient light scattering properties, and further to provide a liquid crystal display device in which the light scattering polarizing plate is included as a rear-side polarizing plate in the liquid crystal display device with a backlight. <P>SOLUTION: The light scattering film includes a shape-anisotropic hole inside, which hole is obtained by stretching a film containing a thermoplastic resin and a plasticizer, wherein (1) a cellulose ester is contained as the thermoplastic resin, and (2) the plasticizer has a number-average molecular weight of 600 or less and is an ester-based plasticizer comprising an acid whose first acid dissociation constant pKa<SB POS="POST">1</SB>in water at 25°C is within the range of 2.2-5.0. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
