<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive control method for an engraving head in which the temperature of an engraving head hardly becomes high even when used for a long period of time. <P>SOLUTION: In the drive control method for an engraving head controlling an application time with a fixed application voltage on the basis of an input engraving data, controlling a current to be supplied to a solenoid to change the intensity of the application pressure for pressing a workpiece by one or a plurality of working tools driven and controlled by the solenoid, and engraving the workpiece by the working tools, the application time is determined on the basis of the input engraving data, and a first drive signal for driving the solenoid is created on the basis of the determined application time and the input engraving data. A second drive signal in which PWM control is performed is created on the basis of the first drive signal, for supplying a current to the solenoid without exceeding a predetermined current value required for obtaining the application pressure for pressing the workpiece by the working tools. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
