<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an echo image display device that increases the amount of information to be displayed. <P>SOLUTION: A control unit 19 changes resolution of a predetermined area set in a part of a display area of a display unit. The resolution is changed by, for example, changing the number of electromagnetic wave emissions in a predetermined direction in a predetermined area. The control unit 19 issues an instruction to a transmission part 10 to increase the number of outputs of transmission signals per predetermined time in a direction corresponding to a specified magnified area 502. Conventionally, if the resolutions in all the areas on a radar image are increased, data volume is increased. In order to solve the above problem, resolutions are increased only to limited areas in the display area, thereby suppressing data volume and reducing the load on the device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
