<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extrusion compression granulator of a granular excrement-treating material which has a high water-absorbing property and is expected to aggregate while being promoted to collapse. <P>SOLUTION: The extrusion compression granulator includes: a die table 1 in which multiple granulating holes 2 are put through; a space rib 6 radially provided on a lower surface of the die table 1; a pressurizing rotation wheel 3 for pressing the raw material in each granulating hole 2 of the die table 1; and a breaking blade 4 for breaking the raw material pressed from an outlet of each granulating hole 2 of the die table 1 to granulate. The breaking blade 4 is provided with a free space 8 in the board thickness of the space rib 6 on an outlet surface side of the granulating hole 2. A compression zone Z1 is formed in the granulating hole 2. A non-compression zone Z2 is formed in the free space 8. The raw material is swollen in the non-compression zone Z2 after being compressed in the compression zone Z1.
