PURPOSE: A spindle motor and an optical disk driving device with the same are provided to mount a pulling magnet on an installation groove of a rotor case to arrange the pulling magnet on a stator core. CONSTITUTION: A coil(48) is wound on a stator core(120). A rotor case(140) is arranged on the stator core. The rotor case includes an installation groove(146). The installation groove is formed on the bottom of the rotor case. A pulling magnet(160) faces the stator core. The pulling magnet is mounted on the installation groove.
