SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING OF INFORMATION USING QUICK RESPONSE CODE

PURPOSE: An information providing system using QR(Quick Response) codes and method thereof are provided to enable a user to conveniently use a station by effectively acquiring railway information through a portable terminal. CONSTITUTION: A wireless communication unit(120) communicates with an information providing server through the wireless Internet. A camera(150) acquires image data for a QR code located in a station. A control unit(180) outputs map data including railway information received from the information providing server and transmits the image data to the information providing server. The control unit extracts a short route from a current location to exit from an identification number allocated to the QR code.
