PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for surface reaction of compound powder molten metal are provided to reduce manufacturing time by accelerating the reaction between matrix metal and compound powder on the surface of molten metal. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for surface reaction of compound powder molten metal comprises a spray unit(210) and a reaction accelerating unit(220). The spray unit supplies compound powder supplied through the inner hollow thereof to the surface of molten metal or metal alloy(M) received in a furnace(100). The reaction accelerating unit, which made of a material not reacting with the molten metal, is coupled to the bottom of the spray unit, dipped in the molten metal, and rotated.
