<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article conveyance facility capable of smoothly shifting from article carrying-in work to article carrying-out work. <P>SOLUTION: In a carrying-out mode, dispatch processing for carrying-out and receiving processing for carrying-out are performed. In the dispatch processing for carrying-out, an article supporting body P1 in the state that an article is placed is conveyed from a storage part to an article carrying-out part B, and the article supporting body P1 in the state that the article is not placed at the article carrying-out part B is positioned at an article carrying-in part C. In the receiving processing for carrying-out, the article supporting body P1 in the state that the article is not placed at the article carrying-in part C is received in the storage part. In a carrying-in mode, dispatch processing for carrying-in and receiving processing for carrying-in are performed. In the dispatch processing for carrying-in, the article supporting body P1 in the state that the article is not placed is conveyed from the storage part to the article carrying-in part C, and in the receiving processing for carrying-in, the article supporting body P1 in the state that the article is placed at the article carrying-in part C is received in the storage part.
