<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce unnecessary data transfer in a print relay system which relays data between a printing server and an image forming apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A print relay system is provided in which communication can be performed between a print service system that produces and stores print data, and an image forming apparatus. The print relay system includes: receiving means which receives a printing instruction without receiving the print data when receiving the printing instruction from the print service system; determination means which determines whether it is necessary to receive the print data from the print service system or not; and notification means in which, when it is determined that the reception is not required, a storage place of the print data stored in the print service system is notified and when it is determined the reception is required, the print data are received from the print service system and stored, and the storage place of the stored print data is notified. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
