<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten the measuring time of the quality of wood, and to further accurately determine an inside structure or a defect. <P>SOLUTION: An electromagnetic wave radiated by a transmission antenna 12 is converted into a plane wave by a lens 13, and emitted on wood 100 to be measured. A detector 15 detects the electromagnetic wave outgoing from a surface of the wood 100 to be measured, and interference fringes are obtained, which are produced by the interference of the electromagnetic waves outgoing respectively from a fiber (grain) traveling structure of the wood 100 to be measured. Therefore, without two-dimensionally scanning the wood 100 to be measured, a traveling interval, a direction, and an inside defect of fibers (grains) of the wood 100 to be measured can be detected, and an inspection cost can be reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
