<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a polyester having an ether bond in the main chain in a usual method for producing a polyester, without requiring any complicated operation and without using a monomer having an ether bond. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for producing an aromatic polyester ether, a diol component of a phenylene group, a naphthalenediyl group, a biphenylene group, or a bisphenylene group, protected with an acetoxy group, is used in a situation in which a glycol component exists more than 2.5 times in terms of molar ratio, as a copolymerization component, when the aromatic polyester is produced from an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and an alkylene glycol. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
