<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of pixel defects caused by a conduction of a pixel electrode and a common electrode in an IPS type liquid crystal display device in which the pixel electrode connected with a source electrode of a TFT is disposed in a lower layer and the common electrode having a slit is disposed in an upper layer, interposing an insulation film therebetween. <P>SOLUTION: A gate electrode 101 is formed on a TFT substrate 100, a gate insulation film 102 is formed while covering the gate electrode, and divided pixel electrodes 106 are formed thereon. The divided pixel electrodes 106 are normally connected by a source electrode 105. An interlayer insulation film 107 is formed on the pixel electrodes 106, and a common electrode 108 having a slit is formed on the interlayer insulation film 107. In the case where the common electrode 108 and one of the divided pixel electrodes 106 are conducted by a conductive foreign substance 500, the divided pixel electrode 106 is disconnected from the source electrode 105. Therefore, the other divided pixel electrodes 106 can be operated, so that one pixel is prevented from becoming a complete defect. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
