<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an alarm system for notifying so that operation starting an engine may no longer be input while a shift position is in a runnable position. <P>SOLUTION: A combination meter 100 mounted on a vehicle in which a gasoline engine is started and stopped on the basis of input to an ignition switch 53 and including a function of the alarm system notifying that the shift position of a transmission is in (D) or (R) is provided with a meter control circuit 20 having a function for determining whether the gasoline engine is in a stop state, a function for determining whether the shift position is in a runnable position, and a function for detecting a driver in a vehicle room of a vehicle.
