<p>Disclosed are a method for instant communication using a home gateway, and a home gateway. The method comprises: the home gateway returning a login interface to the terminal device after receiving a request from a user to access an instant communication service sent by a terminal device in WEB mode; the home gateway converting authentication information input by the user on the login interface sent by the terminal device, and instant messages interacting with other users after the authentication are converted into a format supported by the instant communication service accessed by the user, then sending them to an instant message server; and sending them to the terminal device after resolving the messages sent by the instant message server to a format supported by a home network. With the technical scheme of the present invention, a home gateway is deployed in a home network environment, facilitating the use of instant message service by different models and types of mobile clients. In addition, the carrier can easily control and filter message contents and capture hotspot information for precise advertisement delivery.</p> |
