摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To highly accurately measure the displacement of a roll around which an object to be measured is hung, and to highly accurately measure a thickness dimension of the object to be measured regardless of a material of the object to be measured. <P>SOLUTION: On a circumferential surface of a roll 2, a plurality of markings 2a extending along a roll axis are provided in parallel, and in a detection head 5, proximity sensors 18 and 19 for detecting the approach of the marking are provided at positions confronting each other with a center axis of the roll therebetween, respectively. A roll displacement measuring method includes the steps of: determining a first detection time difference between the proximity sensors confronting each other and a first rotation speed on the roll by scanning the detection head in the state where a film 20 is not hung around the roll; determining a second detection time difference between the proximity sensors confronting each other and a second rotation speed in the roll by scanning the detection head in the state where the film is hung around the roll; and determining the displacement of the roll on the basis of the first and second detection time differences and the first and second rotation speeds. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT
