<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a train constant speed travel control method and a device capable of setting a target speed so that the target speed when entering between a station and a next station becomes an average speed between the station and the next station, which is obtained by dividing the distance between the station and the next station by an operation time. <P>SOLUTION: In the constant speed travel control, a limiting speed signal and a vehicle traveling speed are input to output a command for constant speed traveling to a vehicle drive control device, the average speed is obtained by dividing the distance between the station and the next station by the operation time to be the target speed, and the constant speed operation is performed by the constant speed travel control at the speed. In passing B station 303, the target speed 310 between the station and the next station in passing B station 303 at a scheduled time is obtained in advance.
