<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet holding device that prevents deterioration of workability and dirt of long sheet and holds the long sheet regardless of the size of the sheet width. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet holding members 6 and 8 hold the long sheet such as a long document and a long recoding medium which are supplied to an image forming apparatus.
