PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that it takes time to set a parameter for properly adjusting a molten ball formed on a tip end of a welding wire depending on various welding conditions when the welding is ended in consumable electrode type pulse arc welding.
SOLUTION: In the end control method of pulse arc welding in which welding is ended by flowing a final peak current LIp in ending the welding, an index for indicating whether an arc start property is good or wrong is calculated, and depending on the index, a value of the final peak current LIp is automatically set by changing it in a range beyond and below a critical value. The index is a ratio of the number of times that a first short-circuit at an arc start is longer than a reference time, to the unit number of times of arc starts. Thereby, the final peak current LIp is automatically adjusted properly depending on the various welding conditions to eliminate a time for setting.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
