Provided is a beach cleaner capable of recovering relatively heavy garbage or stones, such as large stones or plastic bottles containing liquid, while minimizing the amount of sand entering a garbage recovery unit. The beach cleaner (1) has: a frame (53) formed by a lengthwise member (51) and a widthwise member (52); a towed section (67) towed by a tractor (2) being provided on the front of the frame (53); a separator (60) for separating and raking up garbage from sandy ground being provided on a lower front part of the frame (53); and a recovery unit (50) for gathering the garbage raked up by the separator (60) onto a netting member (116), the recovery unit being provided on the frame (53) behind the separator 60, wherein the beach cleaner (1) is provided with separator rod units (95) having a plurality of lengthwise members (96) and a widthwise member (97) connecting the rear end (96b) of each of the lengthwise members (96), and is configured such that the front end of at least one of the separator rod units (95) is mounted onto the separator (60) so as to be able to turn in the vertical direction, and is provided so as to bridge the space between the separator (60) and the upper surface of the netting member (116) of the recovery unit (50).
