<p>An auxiliary capacitance counter electrode (22) provided on an active matrix substrate (100) has: a first portion (22b), which forms an auxiliary capacitance with an auxiliary capacitance bus line (12); a second portion (22a), which is positioned between the first portion (22b) and a drain electrode (24); and a third portion (22c), which is provided to protrude from the first portion (22b) such that the third portion faces the second portion (22a) with the first portion (22b) therebetween.
