PURPOSE: A compound for detecting hydrargyrum ions, a method for manufacturing the same, and a fluorescent chemical detecting system using the same are provided to selectively detect hydrargyrum from an aqueous solution containing other metallic ions. CONSTITUTION: A compound for detecting hydrargyrum ions is represented by chemical formula 1. A fluorescent chemical detecting system includes the compound and o-phenylenediamine. Hydrargyrum is reacted with the compound and o-phenylenediamine, and hydrargyrum is detected based on the reinforced fluorescent of a resultant product. The hydrargyrum ion detecting operation is implemented in an aqueous solution.
