PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin film that has no gel-like foreign substances and produces a high contrast image when used in a display such as a liquid crystal display or the like, to provide a method for producing the resin film and to provide a polarizing plate and a liquid crystal display both having the resin film.

SOLUTION: In a method for producing a resin film formed from a composition including a resin which can form an intermolecular hydrogen bond and a compound which inhibits the intermolecular hydrogen bond of the resin, the method for producing the resin film includes a process of imparting external force or external energy to the composition and at the same time irradiating an electromagnetic wave to break the intermolecular hydrogen bond.
