<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester fiber having a high heat shield property and good feeling. <P>SOLUTION: A polyester fiber with a high heat shield property comprises at least inorganic compound particles with a refractive index of 1.6 to 5 and an average particle size of 0.5 to 1.5 μm and satisfies the following conditions: (1) a content of the inorganic compound particles is 1 to 15 wt%; (2) a single fiber has a flat cross-section along a direction perpendicular to the fiber axis and is in a shape where single yarns with a circular cross-section are linearly linked along a long axis direction of the flat cross-section so as to have 2 to 5 narrow portions; (3) a ratio between a length A of a long axis of the flat cross-section and a maximum length B1 of a short axis perpendicular to the long axis is 2 to 6; and (4) a ratio between the maximum length B1 of the short axis of the flat cross-section and a minimum length B2 of the short axis corresponding to each narrow portion is 1.05 or more and 1.6 or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
