摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a decoloring apparatus installed in a rewritable printer and the like, which is effective in temperature rising of paper, temperature lowering of a heat source, reduction of power consumption and shortening of a start-up time. <P>SOLUTION: Each of heat radiation surfaces of upper and lower heat radiation heaters 36 is formed of a parallel part 45-1 parallel to a paper conveyance path 25 and an inclined part 45-2 gradually separated from the paper conveyance path 25 in the downstream direction of the paper conveyance path 25. The parallel part 45-1 maintains the application of heat of an optimal temperature up to a point e with respect to the paper, and the inclined part 45-2 maintains the optimal temperature up to a point f. Decoloring light 41 of each of upper and lower decoloring light sources 39 has an upstream irradiation region which is set at a point g of the paper conveyance path 25 corresponding to the inclination start part of the inclined part 45-2 of the heat radiation heaters 36, and has a downstream irradiation region which is set at a point h.
