<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a perovskite type catalyst large in specific surface area and pore volume, and excellent in catalyst activity. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided a perovskite type catalyst 1 comprising perovskite type complex oxides and a method for production thereof. The method for production of the perovskite type catalyst 1 includes a mixing step, burning step and acid-treating step. In the mixing step, an A-site material and a B-site material are mixed at a stoichiometric ratio such that the A-site is increased, compared to that of a theoretical composition ABO<SB POS="POST">3</SB>of the perovskite type complex oxides. In the burning step, the resultant mixed powder is burned to obtain a burned powder. In the acid-treating step, the obtained burned powder is acid-treated with an acid of pH 2 or more but less than 7 to obtain a perovskite type catalyst 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
