MAGNETISM MEASURING INSTRUMENT, AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING MAGNETISM SENSOR ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetism measuring instrument capable of measuring magnetism of sufficient intensity from a measuring target, and a method for manufacturing a magnetism sensor element.

SOLUTION: The magnetism measuring instrument includes a detector 1 for detecting magnetism using electronic spin resonance and a base part 7 loaded with the detector 1. The detector 1 has the magnetism sensor element 1a provided to the leading end part 1b thereof and the magnetism sensor element 1a comprises diamond for outputting an electron spin resonance signal. The diamond of the magnetism sensor element 1a contains a13C atom with an atom concentration of 0.01% or below and a nitrogen atom with an atom concentration of 100 ppm or below and the number of nitrogen atoms contained in the diamond of the magnetism sensor element 1a and adjacent to the vacancy in the diamond is 5% or above of the number of the nitrogen atoms contained in the diamond of the magnetism sensor element 1a. A base part 7 has a main surface and also has a position adjusting part for adjusting the position of the leading end part 1b in the direction crossing the main surface.
