<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten time required for reaching a focusing state as compared to conventional hybrid AF and to enable AF to be excellently performed for a moving subject. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging device comprises: an imaging element 14 which performs photoelectric conversion of a subject image formed by a photographic optical system; first focus control means 42 which performs a focus control by a contrast detecting system using a first signal output from the imaging element 14; second focus control means 42 which detects a focusing state of the photographic optical system by a phase difference detecting system using a second signal output from the imaging element and performs focus control in accordance with the focusing state; and imaging element control means 50 which makes the imaging element alternately repeat accumulation of first charge to generate the first signal and an output of the first signal as well as perform the accumulation of second charge to generate the second signal in the intervals between the accumulations of the first charge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
