<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition which can reduce hysteresis loss while improving on-ice performance and wear resistance of tire. <P>SOLUTION: The rubber composition is configured by containing, in a rubber component (A): a microparticle-containing fiber (B); a foaming agent (C); an organosilicon compound (D); and an inorganic filler (E). The microparticle-containing fiber (B) comprises: a hydrophilic resin; and at least one microparticle selected from the group consisting of a metal oxide, a metal carbonate and a clay mineral containing a metal.
