The color processing method involves the following: reference data, having the color information for each of the pixels or pixel groups of a reference medium, and data for evaluation, having the color information of the pixels or pixel groups of an evaluation medium, are input by an input means; image overlay processing where the input reference data and data for evaluation are associated at the pixel level is executed by an image processing means; specific regions comprising a plurality of pixels and serving as evaluation units are set as image overlay processed data by a region setting means; and on the basis of the reference data of the set specific regions and the data for evaluation, a calculation means compares the color information of pixels or pixel groups of both sets of data and thereby calculates color differences and conducts averaging, and calculates, for the specific regions, averaged evaluation results.
