The detector has housing (1) with housing portions (2) whose housing interior (5) is hermetically sealed. A radiation window (4) is integrated in the housing, for permitting radiation to be detected into the housing interior. A radiation sensor (6) is received in the housing interior, such that the light passing through the radiation window is detectable. A fluid nozzle (10) is provided for evacuating or filling the housing interior with the fluid. The radiation sensor and the fluid nozzle formed in housing portions are separable upon opening of the housing. An independent claim is included for method for processing or servicing radiation detector.
