<p>The invention introduces new techniques to detect types of loads connected to an electricity distribution system that feeds premises with a DC voltage. Connected loads are designed to operate on the DC voltage. The new techniques are ripple (created by loads) frequency detection and steady state voltage measurement. These techniques implemented with the help of an electronic system having one voltage sensor and a microcontroller along with display and communication devices.</p>
