The machine i.e. shearer loader (14), has a support arm (12) secured on a base frame (10), where four legs (A-D) are supported on the base frame. The legs are provided with a displacement sensor (16) and/or a force sensor (18) for detecting load acting on the legs and movement of the legs in an adjustment direction. The legs are provided with hydraulic positioning elements, where hydraulic connections are provided between the hydraulic positioning elements. Non-return valves are provided in the hydraulic connections, and the legs are designed as rockers.
