Provided is an electronic document preparing apparatus which provides an intuitive user interface to enable a user to prepare an electronic document in an easy and convenient manner, and which stores and analyzes a signal input by the user during an electronic document preparing process and an electronic document reading process so as to identify a user behavior pattern. Also provided are an electronic document preparing system comprising the electronic document preparing apparatus and a control method thereof, and an electronic document reading system and a control method thereof. To this end, an apparatus for preparing an electronic document according to the present invention comprises: a user interface unit for receiving a user input signal; an object adding unit for adding a predetermined object onto the electronic document; an operation and state information adding unit for providing the object on the electronic document with a predetermined operation and state information; and a control unit for controlling adding the object onto the electronic document, and providing the operation and the state information in accordance with the user input signal received at the user interface unit.
