The housing (1) has a casing section (3) for accommodating an electronic module (5), and a plug section (7) for accommodating a plug part (9), where the housing is made from aluminum, brass, steel or stainless steel part. The casing and plug sections comprise different cross-sections, and formed as a single-piece from a round kneading part by using a mandrel. A round housing with a metrical fine thread (3g) is formed in the casing section, where the thread has outer diameter of 12, 18 or 30 mm. An adapter (7a) is arranged between an end area (7e) of the plug section and the casing section. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a sensor device comprising a sensor housing (2) a method for manufacturing a sensor housing.
