<p>Provided are a method and AAA server for network element intercommunication. The method includes: receiving and processing by an Authentication, Authorization and Accounting (AAA) server a message from a first network element group, wherein the first network element group is located at one side of the AAA server; when the AAA server determines that the protocol type supported by the message received is inconsistent with the protocol type supported by a second network element group, converting by the AAA server the processed message into a message in the format of the protocol type supported by the second network element group, wherein the second network element group is located at another side of the AAA server; and processing and sending by the AAA server the converted message to the second network element group. By way of the above technical solution of the present invention, the following problem in the related art is solved: different network elements at each side of the AAA server cannot achieve interconnection or intercommunication when they are based on different protocols, therefore the following object is achieved: different network elements at each side of the AAA server can achieve interconnection and intercommunication when they are based on different protocols.</p> |
