A METALWORK FALL PREVENTING DEVICE OF A MACHINE TOOL

PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for preventing a metalwork from falling down from a machine tool are provided to prevent damage to a metalwork when a tool connected to a motor falls down by forcefully rotating the motor in a reverse direction. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(1000) for preventing a metalwork from falling down from a machine tool comprises a relay unit(100), a PLC unit(200), a control unit(300), and a digital-analog converter(400). The relay unit is electrically connected to a motor(2000) rotated in a gravity direction and generates a relay signal. The PLC unit is connected to the relay unit and generates a power cutoff signal by sensing the relay signal. And the PLC unit stores a signal for rotating the motor in a reverse direction. The control unit controls the motor to rotate the motor in a reverse direction based on the power cutoff signal. The digital-analog converter converts the digital signal of the control unit into an analog signal.
