摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) apparatus capable of imaging a heart by more simply positioning each reference section of the heart in a shorter time with practical accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The MRI apparatus includes a collecting means, a reference section information calculating means, a positioning means and an imaging means. The collecting means collects a plurality of section image data including a heart from an object. The reference section information calculating means calculates the spatial positional information of a reference section of the heart based on the plurality of the section image data. The positioning means causes a display device to display a reference section image of the heart which is calculated from the plurality of the section image data on the basis of the position information of the reference section, and performs positioning of an imaging part for imaging through the displayed reference image of the heart.
