<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photoelectric element having high photoelectric conversion efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The photoelectric element includes a first electrode, an electron transport layer supporting a photosensitizer thereon, a hole transport layer and a second electrode, and the components are superposed in the order. The electron transport layer is formed of an organic compound produced by electrolytic polymerization of a precursor having two or more moieties in a molecule, the moieties having a structure represented by the following structural formula (1). The photoelectric element comprises a gel layer comprising the organic compound and an electrolyte solution infiltrating into the organic compound.
