<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture the formed body of a metallic pipe and the structure of the metallic pipe in which the metallic pipe is bent in a smaller radius of curvature. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the formed body of the metallic pipe includes: a pressurizing stage where a metallic pipe material 37 having a round cross section is pressurized from the opposite directions and an elliptic pipe 27 in which an elliptic cross section is continued in the axial direction is formed; and a bending stage where the elliptic pipe 27 is bent. In the pressurizing stage, a pair of plane-shaped portions 23 which are nearly parallel to each other, a pair of projecting curved surface portions 25 which connects between the pair of the plane-shaped portions 23, and striped recessed portions 39 in which parts of the plane-shaped portions 23 are recessed are continuously formed in the axial direction, and in the bending stage, the elliptic pipe 27 is bent in a direction along the major axis. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
