<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording apparatus that can inhibit a gap of a recording range to a recording medium caused by a mounting gap of a removal type feeding device small, and to provide a recording method in the recording apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In a feeding course, a first side end position Xsn of paper in design is calculated (S41). A first side end position of the paper is detected by a paper width detector (S42), and the detected position is set to a first side end position Xd1 (S43). When the paper is fed from an additional cassette and a paper end detection flag F1=1, an ejection starting position adjustment amount ΔX=Xd1-Xsn is set (S49).
