<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rear structure of a vehicle body that allows a lower back outer member with a lower back inner member coupled thereto to be easily mounted on an under body, and the members to be easily coupled in the correct relative position. <P>SOLUTION: The lower back member 2 arranged along a lower edge of a rear opening 25 of the vehicle body includes: the hollow box-shaped and oblong lower back inner member 3; an opening 3M for attachment which is provided at a rear of the lower back inner member 3; and the lower back outer member 4 which closes the opening 3M from behind. A striker 12 for locking a back door 8 is attached to the lower back inner member 3 via a reinforcing plate 14 put on a back surface of the lower back inner member 3.
