<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for tire cord toppings which can improve breaking energy and heat resistance, and to provide a pneumatic tire using the same. <P>SOLUTION: This rubber composition for tire cord toppings comprises natural rubber and a wet masterbatch (1), wherein the wet masterbatch (1) is obtained by mixing a styrene-butadiene rubber latex, a carbon black dispersion liquid, and a liquid styrene-butadiene copolymer emulsion or a liquid butadiene polymer emulsion. Alternatively the rubber composition for tire cord toppings comprises styrene-butadiene rubber and a wet masterbatch (2), wherein the wet masterbatch (2) is obtained by mixing a natural rubber latex, the carbon black dispersion liquid, and a liquid isoprene polymer emulsion or the liquid butadiene polymer emulsion. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
