摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light base material for an automobile ceiling having appropriate mold-machining performance, superior in dimension stability, maintaining appropriate rigidity, superior in thermal characteristics such as low specific heat and low heat conductivity, and exhibiting excellent sound absorbing performance in a specified frequency region, and to provide an automobile ceiling material using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A thermoplastic resin foam layer sheet is formed by laminating non-foaming layers 11 and 13 having basis weight (weight per unit area) in single surface of 60-90 g/m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>on both surface of a foaming layer 10 obtained by extrusion-foaming a modified PPE resin and having a foaming magnification of 16-25 times, a closed cell rate of 80% or more and baasis weight of 80-120 g/m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>. The base material for an automobile ceiling is formed by laminating a polyurethane layer 20 having density of 15-30 kg/m<SP POS="POST">3</SP>and thickness of 2-4 mm on an indoor side non-foaming layer 13 surface, and laminating a non-woven fabric surface material 22 having basis weight of 100-200 g/m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>on the indoor side non-foaming layer surface through a surface adhesive 18 having basis weight of 15-30 g/m<SP POS="POST">2</SP>.
