The present invention provides a method for implementing point-to-multipoint label switched path protection, comprising: a root node creating a work branch and a protection branch for each leaf node requiring branch protection, respectively; the root node sending a service to the leaf node on the work branch and the protection branch; in a normal case, the leaf node receiving the service on the work branch, and when a failure occurs on the work branch, the leaf node receiving the service on the protection branch. The present invention further provides a system for implementing point-to-multipoint label switched path protection. According to the technical solution of the present invention, the end-to-end protection can be flexibly performed based on the branches and the network bandwidth resources are saved. |
