PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve access performance.

SOLUTION: A file server 10 has a conversion table 13f associating a logical address which is address information showing a storage area of a disk device 30 and designated by a higher layer with a physical address designated by a disk driver 13, and storing them. The file server 10 accesses the disk device 30 by regarding the storage area shown by the physical address as an access destination and counts frequency of access requests to each storage area within a prescribed period for each logical address. Then, the file server 10 updates the conversion table 13f so that the physical addresses line up in descending order of the counted frequency of access requests of the logical addresses. Then, the file server 10 changes the storage area of data stored in the disk device 30 based on the updated conversion table 13f.
