摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus of a load-variable self-propelling test capable of appropriately setting a relationship between the propeller rotating speed and a ship speed of a model ship in a self-propelling test performing not only a rectilinear propagation but also an oblique sailing and turning by an external force and hull rocking by the external force including wave, and in a self-propelling test capable of changing the propeller rotating speed on the way. <P>SOLUTION: In a method of self-propelling test using a self-propelled model ship 6, auxiliary thrust adding means 4 that is provided in tracking means 5 for tracking the model ship 6 and adds an auxiliary thrust to the ship model 6, is controlled according to a calculation result of auxiliary thrust calculation means 3 that calculates the auxiliary thrust based on the moving state of the model ship 6.
