<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method capable of obtaining efficiently amorphous cellulose having little contamination of abrasion powder originated in a crushing medium to be used, concerning a method for producing amorphous cellulose by treating a cellulose-containing raw material by a vibration mill. <P>SOLUTION: In this method for producing amorphous cellulose, the cellulose-containing raw material in which a cellulose content in a residual component obtained by removing water from the cellulose-containing raw material is ≥20 mass%, and a cellulose I-type crystallization index of the cellulose shown by a following calculation formula (1) exceeds 33%, and a water content is ≤3.5 mass% is treated by using a vibration mill filled with a rod having an Fe content rate of ≥50 mass% and an outer diameter of 5-60 mm under a condition satisfying a following calculation formula (2), to thereby reduce the cellulose I-type crystallization index to ≤33%: cellulose I-type crystallization index(%)=[(I<SB POS="POST">22.6</SB>-I<SB POS="POST">18.5</SB>)/I<SB POS="POST">22.6</SB>]×100 (1) [I<SB POS="POST">22.6</SB>shows a diffraction intensity on a lattice plane (002 plane) (angle of diffraction 2θ=22.6°) in X-ray diffraction, and I<SB POS="POST">18.5</SB>shows a diffraction intensity of an amorphous part (angle of diffraction 2θ=18.5°)]; 0.45≤αω(m-rad/sec) (2) [α shows a one-sided amplitude (m), and ω shows angular velocity (rad/sec)]. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
