<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an air current while preventing floating of a sheet in a conveying device for conveying the sheet. <P>SOLUTION: This conveying device 1 includes: a conveying belt 2 having a plurality of belt holes 21 and conveying printing paper 10 in a predetermined conveying direction; a recess 31 for slidably supporting the conveying belt 2 and dented toward an under surface from an upper surface in a place where the belt holes 21 pass, a platen plate 3 having a suction hole 32 penetrating through the under surface from a part of a bottom surface of the recess 31, and a suction part for sucking the printing paper 10 to the conveying belt 2 by sucking air via the suction hole 32, the recess 31 and the belt holes 21. The area in a plan view of the belt hole 21 is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the recess 31 in a cross section substantially orthogonal to the conveying direction. A distance to the opening end 31E of the recess 31 from the opening end 32E of the suction hole 32 in the conveying direction is smaller than a pitch of the belt holes 21. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
